Sales & Application Specialist / HLA market

we are looking for a
passionate, collaborative, proactive and flexible
(Full time, PhD/B.ASc)
for direct sales of GenDx’s products, to empower customers with knowledge
and expertise that helps advance their research and patient care.

In your role as Sales & Application Specialist for Germany you:
  • Control, organise and direct sales activities in Germany.
  • Play a critical role in supporting, educating, and partnering with customers to ensure their success, while challenging them to think differently about their diagnostic routines.
  • Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and you are strongly self-motivated: you are able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have knowledge of genomics technology applications including qPCR, genotyping and (next generation) sequencing.
  • Are familiar with immunological matters, especially the HLA gene family.

Your main tasks will be to:
  • Develop presence and visibility of GenDx in Gemany by identifying, contacting and qualifying leads.
  • Develop / stimulate business in Germany through the sale of products and services.
  • Proactively engage with existing and prospective customers to promote the use of GenDx’s technology and to be informed by their needs.
  • Perform pre-sales seminars, customer laboratory trainings, and assist with customer inquiries regarding the use of GenDx products in their day to day laboratory work.
  • Draft quotations, negotiate sales terms and coordinate sales agreements.
  • Provide regular and accurate sales forecast updates.
  • Keep customer information up to date in the company CRM system.
  • Represent GenDx professionally, ethically and morally at all times.
  • Act in line with the company values at all times.
For exercising this role you need 4–5 years relevant experience in a German life science laboratory background in medical of molecular biology as PhD or B.ASc. You have a good understanding of your role in German academic and company settings. Preferably, you have a track record in sales of products for molecular diagnostics.
You are experienced with various techniques such as quantitative real-time PCR, DNA sequencing using next generation sequencing platforms including also some knowledge of bioinformatics. You are strongly self-motivated and does act collaboratively with team members. You have strong communication skills and are an excellent presenter.
You have an excellent command of German and English (written and spoken You are living in Germany, and willing to spend at least 50% of your time in the field developing customer relationships and conducting sales activities.
