At TU Dresden the DFG Research Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) is one of the world’s leading RegMed centers and forms the interface between basic research and clinical application. The aim of the CRTD is to explore the self-healing potential of the body and to develop completely new regenerative therapies for so far incurable diseases. The research of the more than 80 research groups focusses on haematology and immunology, diabetes, Neurodegenerative diseases, bone and cartilage replacement and cardiovascular disease.
The CRTD is looking for an outstanding and highly motivated
Technical Assistant
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 6 TV-L)
prospectively starting at 07.08.2015 to work in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Elly Tanaka. The position is initially running to 13.11.2015 as maternity replacement with the possibility of prolongation for parental leave.
Tasks: generation and breeding of transgenic Xenopus animals (Krallenfrosch); injection of the eggs; rearing of embryos to adults; support and care of transgenic animals and molecular cloning of DNA constructs.
Requirements: completed apprenticeship as a technical assistant in biology (BTA) or comparable training; experiences in techniques with laboratory animals; deep knowledge in the fields of microscopy, histology, molecular biology and cell culture; very good knowledge of English, since the operating language is English and there are many international users; readiness for weekend and holiday service. You are assertive and communicative, have organizational skills and enjoy working in a team. You are interested in new tasks and you are ready for new challenges. You are analytical in your thinking and are open to new ideas. Your self-confident appearance, your target-oriented and systematic work and your ability to convince yourself in a private conversation complete your profile. Professional experience in a comparable environment is kindly desired.
