PhD-student position: Transgenic mouse models for Alzheimer’s disease
 
A PhD student position in the field of Alzheimer’s disease research is currently being offered at the University Hospital Basel, Switzerland.
 
The project is focused on the histological and biochemical characterization of transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease.
A Master degree in biology or neurosciences is required, preferentially obtained from a leading European university. Strong knowledge in biochemistry and molecular biological techniques as well as an interest into animal experiments is needed. Holiding a FELASA certificate for conducting animal experiments may be an advantage.  
 
Recent publications of the lab include:

Amyloid-beta in the cerebrospinal fluid of APP transgenic mice does not show prion-like properties, Curr Alzheimer Res 2015
