Scientist Immunology (m/w)
At the site in Jülich, Germany, Alvotech focuses on process development for its biosimilar pipeline, as well as analytics and preclinical development. As a scientist Immunology you will be involved in preclinical development of all biosimilar candidates in Alvotech pipeline. You will develop and execute cell based assays and interact with third parties (CROs) for efficacy testing of monoclonal antibodies in the field of inflammatory diseases and oncology.
Most important task of the job:
Plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate experimental approaches that address specific issues of the biosimilar antibodies in development
Ensure timely processing of the preclinical projects in the field of inflammatory diseases and oncology.
Initialize and maintain collaborations with third party organizations (CROs) for the execution of animal models and/or complex in-vitro cellular assays (3D) as well as toxicology and pharmacology studies.
Actively communicate with and support others departments in project evaluation
Supervision of lab technicians
Create reports and presentation of results in internal as well as external meetings
You will be part of the preclinical development team and report directly to the department head
PhD in immunology, biology or related with relevant experience in the field of autoimmune diseases and oncology
At least 3 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a immunological research laboratory
Very good knowledge of immunological techniques, including FACS, ELISA and cellbased assays as well as with cell culture techniques (B-cell, T-cell, PBMC…)
Working experience with in vitro Tcell differentiation / proliferation and endothelial cell based assays
Working experience with immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry techniques for staining of intracellular and cell membrane associated markers
Knowledge of animal model and/or ex-vivo assays for immune diseases and oncology
Broad scientific knowledge and ability to think interdisciplinary
Experience in biosimilars development is a plus
Good presentation and writing skills
Very good command of English, German highly beneficial
First management and leadership experience, critical thinking
