Cellzome GmbH, a GSK company, applies its world-class proteomics technology to the discovery of safe and efficacious drugs and is now building up capabilities in metabolomics to study effects of drugs on endogenous metabolites in cells and tissues.
The successful candidate will lead a small team of computational proteomics scientists focusing on development and implementation of innovative proteomics methodologies for drug discovery applications. She/He will provide an interface between experimental groups (biochemistry, mass spectrometry) and computational teams and will work in multidisciplinary matrix teams. Depending on seniority and qualifications the appointment will be made on senior investigator or group leader level.
PhD in proteomics, bioinformatics or a related field with 2-5 years of industry or academic experience. A proven track record in developing biophysical, mass spectrometric or computational approaches for proteomics and a solid background in physics or biochemistry are expected. The position requires the ability to communicate complex scientific information to heterogeneous teams. Experience in using scripting and programming languages is desirable.
