Technical Assistant (CTA, PTA MTA or BTA) - m/f
 
The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be advanced flow cytometry techniques including flow sorting, and analysis. The candidate will also have detailed knowledge of staining techniques, ex vivo analysis of tissues from mice, tissue culture techniques and basic molecular biology. A key responsibility will be the establishment of in vitro assays of T cell function from tissues isolated from mice. Familiarity with animal welfare issues and German and European laws concerning animal use is required. A secondary responsibility will be basic laboratory management and training of new personnel. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Leader to establish assay platforms for immunoregulatory systems. Depending on the experience level, the successful candidate will also have his/her own project(s) to further the scientific endeavors of the laboratory.
 
The position is fixed term for two years with the possibility of an open-ended contract. Depending on the presence of the tariff conditions, a classification to salary group 9b of the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD Bund) is possible.
