As we are constantly growing, we are seeking a highly motivated

Biostatistician (m/f)

As a member of the Clinical Data Analytics group, you will be responsible for several clinical studies of various types. Most are directed towards the assessment of clinical utility (efficacy, safety, cost). Both prospective and retrospective studies are being performed. Another area of work is biomarker identification studies.

Your responsibilities

  • Contributing to the design of studies, in particular ensuring the statistical validity of the projected goals
  • Calculating sample size and power
  • Ensuring that plans are practical and can feasibly be implemented into clinical routine
  • Managing and modeling data
  • Building and maintaining a statistical toolkit
  • Performing analyses of the datasets gathered from studies

Your skills and qualifications

    “must have”
  • PhD (preferred) or Masters in medical statistics, biostatistics, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in R, Python, C/C++, SAS, and/or Java
  • Several years of experience in analyzing clinical/medical data
  • Expertise in databases and SQL
  • Understanding of clinical processes and necessities

Soft skills

  • Good presentation and writing skills for scientific results
  • Dependable, focused, and team-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to acquire new skills
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • German would be a plus

“nice to have”

  • Practical experience with clinical trials
  • Prior work with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM)
  • Proficiency with methods dealing with bias and confounding (e.g., propensity scores)
  • Background in oncology
  • Familiarity with molecular data (e.g., NGS data, protein sequences, and drugs)
