Post-Doc position (100%)
Start in summer 2015, initially limited to 2 years.
The research group of Prof. Dr. Alexander Pfeifer is focused on adipose tissue metabolism with a special emphasis on the function of white and brown adipocytes and underlying signaling mechanisms. Successful candidates will join a motivated, international research team with well equipped laboratories and state-of-the-art techniques.
We are looking for a highly motivated young scientist with a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree.
You show a strong scientific background in metabolism, molecular cell biology, or biochemistry. Pharmacological knowledge is also appreciated. Experience in in vitro assays and/or metabolic disease models is very welcome. You are able to plan and conduct experiments independently and present your results in a professional manner. Very good English language skills are a prerequisite.
You will do research in the field of adipose tissue metabolism, establish and work with in vitro assays, conduct in vivo analysis of energy expenditure and metabolic parameters and generation of gain- and loss-of-function models.
