Diese Stellenanzeige ist abgelaufen. Finden Sie hier zahlreiche ähnliche Jobs.

The European Industrial Doctorate (EID) program within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions trains Early-Stage Researchers (ESR) through collaborative research between academic institutions and companies. The EID project CropStrenghten offers high quality individual PhD projects jointly organized between the University of Potsdam (Germany), Enza Zaden (The Netherlands), and BioAtlantis (Ireland).
CropStrengthen aims to develop and validate technologies and products for use in counteracting abiotic and oxidative stresses in Arabidopsis thaliana and crops (tomato, pepper, cucumber, and others) using innovative genetics, genomics, computational, and molecular biology approaches. Focus will be given on the genetic and molecular mechanisms that contribute to acclimation to abiotic stresses (e.g. molecular priming).
The ESRs will be enrolled as PhD students in the University of Potsdam. Three of the ESRs will be employed by the University of Potsdam and will be seconded for 50% of their time in one or two of the industrial partners, one of the ESRs will be employed by Enza Zaden, and one by BioAtlantis. The ESRs employed by the companies will be seconded to the University of Potsdam for four months to attend lectures and training courses.
Besides the thorough technical and scientific training, the ESRs will receive high quality training in project management, entrepreneurship, oral and written communication skills and intellectual property protection.
The PhD students will be appointed by the CropStrengthen partner organisations under a three-year employment contract. The Monthly Living Allowance, Mobility Allowance and Family Allowance as standard Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship for Early Stage Researchers will be paid to the researcher in monthly instalments. Local tax and social security regulations will apply. Gender equality will be promoted in the recruitment.

The applicants should have MSc in plant biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, computational biology, or related fields.
The applicants must not have a PhD degree and their research experience should be less than 4 years by the time of their recruitment.
In addition to the required strong background in plant sciences, one of the ESR (appointed by the University of Potsdam) should have advanced bioinformatics knowledge.
The candidates can be of any nationality (European or non European), but should obey the Marie Skłodowska-Curie mobility rules: they should not have resided (work or study) for more than one year in the past three years in the country where they will be employed (Germany, The Netherlands, or Ireland).
