At the earliest date possible we are looking for a
Technical Sales Specialist – Custom Antibodies [m/f] Central Europe with a special focus on Germany and Austria 7215-446
Strong interaction with the regional sales team; this includes acquisition of new customers in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and research markets; design custom antibody projects and prepare financial/project quotations for submission to the customers.
Execute in depth scientific discussions with customers and serve as technical specialist for custom antibodies and the HuCAL® antibody generation service in particular (HuCAL is a registered trademark of MorphoSys AG).
Maintain and develop existing customers.
Negotiate service and license agreements with input of Legal/IP/Technical Sales Manager.
Conduct customer visits, sales campaigns and road shows together with the regional sales team, attend exhibitions and shows, including presentation of the HuCAL service.
Provide sales forecasts and other relevant sales information for forecasting and budgeting purposes, keep track of activity by a sustainable and efficient use of the CRM system.
Provide details of market developments, customer needs and success factors as well as ideas and suggestions for new product and service offerings to AbD Serotec’s marketing team as appropriate and as requested.
Ph.D. in life sciences, e. g. biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacy, immunology.
Experience in a sales and/or customer support function, ideally in the life sciences industry.
Life science laboratory experience, ideally with antibody engineering, molecular biology, genetic engineering and/or immunology.
Technical understanding of recombinant antibody technologies would be an advantage.
Independent project design skills, excellent organizational skills, detail & results orientation, effective problem solving skills, excellent explanation and presentation skills.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German.
High willingness to travel.
The position is home-office based in Germany, preferably close to an international airport to facilitate regular travel activities.
