Task Description:
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our research efforts, focusing on the analysis of animals genetic variation, specifically in the context of its influence on aspects of the gene expression profile (mRNA, miRNA), and complex phenotypes like behavior. We are principally interested in understanding how genetics contributes to complex traits. This involves the detection of trait association and their validation in in-vitro experiments. We focus on the genetic basis of transcript regulation related to animal behavior.
Our projects include (1) transcriptional network and pathway analysis; (2) genetic association with behavior traits and finally identification of causal polymorphism; (3) data integration, management, and extensive data mining; and (4) experience in cell culture is a plus point.

We are looking for a candidate with a master's degree, a diploma or a comparable qualification in biology, veterinary medicine, animal science or bioinformatics. The appointee is expected to show dedication and to be a team player. Knowledge of techniques/methods in cell biology, molecular biology, and genetics as well as an interest in exiting new techniques provided by whole genome/transcriptome analyses are required. Bioinformatics or programming skills (R or Matlab, SAS) are a well-regarded plus. Very good English working knowledge regarding oral and written skills is essential.
