Research Assistant (m/f)
(Salary Grade 13 TV-L, 65 %)
 
 
The position is limited to 3 years with the opportunity to obtain a PhD.
 
Description of Responsibilities:
 
The Fröhlich group is interested in lipid homeostasis and membrane dynamics, using yeast as a discovery tool to identify the underlying mechanisms (see Fröhlich et al., eLife 2015). This PhD project will focus on the regulation of the GARP (golgi asscociated retrograde protein trafficking) -complex and its role in sphingolipid homeostasis, using a combination of cell biological and biological methods as well as live cell imaging.
 
Qualifications:
 
The successful candidate (m/f) should be excited about research in molecular cell biology and hold a master's degree/diploma in biology, biochemistry or chemistry, and have experimental experience in techniques in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology or related disciplines.
