Postdoctoral position (TVL-E13, 100%) for two years available at the Georg-Speyer-Haus, Institute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy, Frankfurt, Germany
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoc to investigate the transcriptional regulator FUSE Binding Protein 1 (FUBP1) and its role as an oncoprotein in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). Experience with hematopoietic (stem) cells and mouse transplantation experiments, or experience with mice in general would be desirable. The project is a collaborative effort between the groups of Prof. Daniela Krause and Prof. Martin Zörnig.
The responsibility of the position is to perform experiments including in vitro and tissue culture assays, generation of retro- and lentivirus, infection of murine bone marrow cells, flow cytometry (FACS sorting), general molecular biology experiments (Western Blotting etc.), murine leukemia induction and treatment protocols. Successful candidates will receive training and mentoring in an international, stimulating environment and will have the opportunity to take up a leading role in the research project described above. Cooperation, helpfulness, efficiency, enthusiasm above average and an excellent work ethic are desired.
