Research Assistant (male / female)
(Salary grade 13 TV-L / 65%)

For a period of 36 months, starting as soon as possible.

Project Aims and Assignments:
Participation in a DFG-funded research project
"Oxidative Stress and Signaltransduction in Yeasts"

The project in Osnabrueck involves research in the following areas:
  • Construction of deletions and point mutants in yeast
  • Investigation of intracellular localization of signal transduction components and their protein-protein interactions in the yeasts Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Kluyveromyces lactis
The work focusses on the relation of mitophagy, apoptosis and cytokinesis.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work towards a PhD outside working hours.

Academic requirements:
  • Masters degree or similar qualification from a university
Additional Specifications:
  • Research experience in yeast genetics are required as well as basic knowledge in cell biology
  • Structured, independent and team-oriented working methods
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken
