Researcher position in developmental biology to study limb development, repair, and regeneration
This position is at the Frankfurt Initiative for Regenerative Medicine (FIRM), J.W. Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany (
The main focus of our research is to understand the mechanisms controlling limb tissue development, repair, and regeneration, with the ultimate goal of developing better clinical treatments. Although our laboratory investigates tissue regeneration, applicants with a strong scientific background and publications in developmental biology are strongly encouraged to apply.
A successful candidate will be expected to perform his/her own research projects, present data at scientific meetings, prepare manuscripts, mentor junior lab members, apply for external funding in preparation for his/her own career as an independent scientist.
The applicant must be hard working, passionate about research and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English.
This is a one-year full-time position with the possibility of annual renewal based on performance and availability of funding. This position is available immediately and applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
