Our client is exploiting the commercial potential of its newly developed platform technologies in research collaborations with biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners. This new platform combines all 3 existing technologies and makes it better, faster and cost-effective.
Our client is positioned as a one-stop-shop partner for antibody research, offering a complete package of discovery services and capabilities. The company’s service portfolio covers all aspects of antibody discovery, from early stage research to lead optimisation.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities include:
Within 6 Years this company was able to run from inception (establishment) to a profitable and succesfull growing company. Your tasks will be help it grow and to (ideally) close a constant flow of deals with Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical companies
By closing a number of key development (ideally multi-target discovery) deals you will allow the technology platform to continue growing. It is already a unique platform, but development never stops.
This is not a typical Sales Job. This is Business Development: Your task is the strategic, well targeted business measures for the further development of an economic organization. This includes: The assessment of marketing opportunities and sales markets, the evaluation of products and markets as well as the financial and business analysis of customers and competitors, the initiation of future business and repeat business as well as the writing of business plans and designing of concrete business models, including the definition and formulation of bids for projects.
In addition, you are responsible for contacting potential project and cooperation partners, the establishment and maintenance of a network of partners in national and international environment as well as the writing of business plans and the design and implementation of concrete business models.
You will present and sell a very sophisticated Technology. You goal is to win clients and then to expand the ongoing collaboration into a strategic research partnership.
Service business but also Licensing. You will target and penetrate your network and good contacts. Mostly you will have quality meetings. This job involves also you active input into Marketing, Website, Market Visibility, scientific Seminars and Fairs.
You will report directly to and work actively with the Managing director.
Travel? There is usually not too much travel involved, because you will only meet very good qualified potential customers. Less is more - A lot is done over Conference calls, Skype, ...
You have the ability to make significant and consistent contribution to a company's technology base and product platform.
You have a successful track record closing key licensing and partnership agreements.
You are technically strong and you have a passion for biological and industrial healthcare applications.
In addition to a very good university degree and, preferably, a doctoral degree in the life sciences or human medicine we expect more years of extensive professional experience in the field of business development in the biomedical field and corresponding references.
You have worked in Biologics/Biotech environment, ideally anti-bodies
You are able to work independently
You bring along passion and commitment
You are a team player who wants to put his heart and soul into this opportunity.
Ideally you are as well a scientist (Research Background) as well as a Commercial.
Your clients are mostly Scientists.
You have an excellent strategic and marketing-oriented mindset
Your way of working is autonomous and goal-oriented
