Group Leader - Regulatory Affairs non-Europe

We have been an independent service provider for the agrochemical, industrial chemical and pharmaceutical
industry since 1996, with currently over 500 employees at sites in Europe, Asia and the USA. As a leading service provider with an international focus, we offer comprehensive advice on the registration of agrochemicals, biocides, industrial chemicals, veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnological pharmaceuticals.
 
 
For our new group Regulatory Affairs non-Europe we are currently seeking a
 
        Group Leader - Regulatory Affairs non-Europe (m/f)
        Ref. No. 2016-63/JV
        - permanent contract / full-time -
 
 
Role and Responsibilities
  •  Lead a group of scientists dealing with regulatory affairs mainly for chemicals regulated under national, non-European legislation (e.g. TSCA, China REACh, K‑REACh etc.), and other non-European use‑specific legislations covering cosmetics, food contact materials, detergents, etc.
  • Establishing and building up representative services in other non-European countries, where necessary
  • Force close cooperation with all subsidiaries and extend the team for regulatory affairs of chemicals outside of Europe
  • Preparation and/or review of proposals
  • Develop the group in close cooperation with the Business Unit Leaders, the related Group Leaders and the Managing Directors of subsidiaries in terms of knowledge management, team building, cooperation with all related groups, and knoell's business strategy
  • Very close cooperation with the group Regulatory Affairs Europe
  • Communicate and closely cooperate with our clients
  • Manage resources within the knoell group; also in cooperation with related business units and subsidiaries
  • Promote economic thinking and responsible acting
  • Participate in and contribute to the management team
  • Information exchange with the Business Development Team
 
Profile and Qualifications
  • University degree in chemistry, food chemistry, toxicology, biology or equivalent
  • At least three years of working experience in regulatory affairs of chemicals, in or outside of Europe. Specific knowledge in non-EU legislations would be an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to familiarize with relevant non-EU legislations to get a robust understanding of required procedures
  • Proven experience in advising clients and managing of projects
  • Knowledge in non-European, use-specific legislations would be an asset
  • Decision-making ability, open to new challenges
  • Strong motivation with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team playing skills; service oriented personality and attitude
  • Very good language skills in English and German (spoken and written); additional language skills would be an asset
