To support our team we are currently seeking a

Business Unit Leader (m/f)
Industrial Chemicals & Biocides - Regulatory Affairs

Role and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the strategic development and management of the  Business Unit “Industrial Chemicals – Regulatory Affairs”; management of about 20 employees working predominantly in the area of REACh Regulation and global chemical management systems.
  • Further strategic development of the business unit and set-up of new business areas
  • Support and supervision of Group Leaders (Global Regulatory Affairs, Only Representative)
  • Strategic business development and acquisition
  • Supervision of regulatory developments around the globe
  • Preparation of major quotations, inclusive group-wide services
  • Planning, budgeting and monitoring of projects
  • Customer relation management
  • Strategic personnel planning, development and education
  • Cooperation with other Business Unit Leaders, collaboration with the Management Board and Executive Board
  • Communication and cooperation with the Managing Directors and staff of knoell subsidiaries (worldwide)

Profile and qualifications:
  • University degree in chemistry, biology, or equivalent
  • At least fi ve years‘ experience in the relevant field with excellent knowledge of the REACH regulation and good knowledge of global chemical management systems
  • Long-time experience in staff leadership is a prior condition
  • Pioneer mentality to explore and exploit new business opportunities
  • Distinctive organisation skills
  • Well established communication and leadership skills, team payer
  • Decisive, flexible ready to accept responsibility
  • Profound understanding of economic interrelations / needs and consistent actions
  • Good knowledge of German and English
  • Conscientious, reliable and independently working manner
  • Willingness to travel (subsidiaries, client visits)
