At Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Institute of Principles of Electrical and Electronic Engineering the Chair of Circuit Design and Network Theory offers, subject to granted funds, a position as
 
Research Fellow
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
in High Frequency Integrated Circuit Design for realtime applications in traffic safety environments
 
starting as soon as possible, limited until 28.02.2019 (end of project). The period of employment is governed by § 2 Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz–WissZeitVG). The major goal is the development of a primary radar system for the detection of traffic participants with extremely low latency. The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. PhD / habilitation thesis).
Tasks: Theoretical investigations and design of analogue and mixed-signal circuit in advanced semiconductor technologies; CAD-based simulation; layout; theoretical analysis and measurement of analogue circuits; system design and verification. You will author scientific publications and participate at project meetings and international conferences. Active involvement in project management is planned for postdocs.
Requirements: excellent to good university degree (master´s, Dipl.-Ing.), optionally a PhD degree, in electrical engineering, communications or information engineering; knowledge in analogue circuit and system design; independent and flexible working attitude; innovative and analytical thinking; strong commitment; communicative team-player; scientific curiosity; good English. Knowledge in the following areas is advantageous: radio frequency integrated circuit and system design, high frequency engineering, communications, control systems as well as measurement techniques. German language skills are helpful.
PhD Students will find excellence resources and challenging topics for innovative PhD-theses. The position is well suitable to promote your individual scientific and professional career. At the chair, postdocs have the possibility to manage large and renowned research projects. The position provides an excellent platform for interdisciplinary cooperation with industry partners.
