As a successful Senior Pre-Sales Engineer - Modeling and Controls you will use your skills in control design, modeling of multi-domain systems and your industry experience to effectively communicate the benefits of the integrated MathWorks tool chain to customers. You will work closely with prospective customers to help them to understand the value of MathWorks offerings for their development work during sales meetings, conference calls, through the delivery of seminars, and the development of complex product demonstrations.
Provide in-depth technical guidance to our customers: manage product evaluations and assist customers in adopting our products, helping remove technical obstacles
Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and application examples during customer meetings and public events
Work closely with the sales organization to actively develop the business in our key industries
Application engineers at The MathWorks are seen as the key persons to understand customer needs, provide feedback to product development and marketing organizations to further improve MathWorks' products and the way they are presented
A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required.
Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
Candidates for this position must hold a valid work permit in Germany.
Working experience in Automotive, Aerospace or Machinery Industry
Industry experience in control design and multi-domain modeling
Good knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink is recommended
Work experience with Multi-Domain Modeling tools is a plus (e.g. Simscape, Dymola, Modelica, SimulationX, …)
High motivation to work directly with customers.
Communication skills and proficiency in the delivery of presentations.
Business fluent language skills in German and English
