The Institute of Physiology I of the University Münster (Germany) invites applications for a joint research project supported by the Collaborative Research Centre (SFB-TRR58) “Fear, Anxiety, Anxiety Disorders”.

is available in systemic and behavioural neurosciences. You are invited to join a research effort which focuses on the cellular and systemic mechanisms of anxiety-related behaviour (http://physiologie1.klinikum.uni-muenster.de and http://sfbtrr58.uni-muenster.de/).

In this project, we study the contribution of CRF and 5-HT on phasic and sustained fear using electrophysiological, pharmacological, optogenetical and behavioural approaches in freely behaving mice.The ideal candidate will hold an above-average Diploma or MSc degree in a relevant subject, and has already shown a strong motivation for basic science. Prior experimental experience in electrophysiological and pharmacological techniques would be highly valuable.

Duration of contract: 3 years, extension is planned

Start of employment: as soon as possible
