Opening: Postdoc Position in experimental neuroscience
The In-vivo-NMR Group at the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research in Cologne is looking for a postdoc at the earliest possible date.
Our research interest focuses on the inflammatory response and the stem cell mediated regeneration of cerebral lesions induced by ischemic stroke in rodent animal models.
The candidate should be experienced in biochemistry, molecular and stem cell biology. He/she has background knowledge in experimental and clinical neurosciences with experience and obvious interest in molecular and cellular biology, in vivo imaging techniques, rodent physiology, and histology. We expect the candidate to be enthusiastic, a team player, curious and open minded. Excellent communication skills and a thorough knowledge of English (spoken and written) are necessary to work in a multidisciplinary team.
We offer access to dedicated high field MRI systems (7.0T; 9.4T; 11.7T) for molecular imaging, to microPET and optical imaging for noninvasive longitudinal imaging. The lab has fully equipped cell culture facilities, molecular biological and histology labs.
The position is fist for 2 years with possibility for renewal. We welcome applicants with PhD in Neurosciences, Biological Sciences or allied disciplines.
