For our Health Care - Medical Devices Team we are currently seeking a
 
        Group Leader - Human Safety (m/f)
        Ref. No. 2016-48/JV
       
Full-time or part-time with min. 28 hours/week (5 days/week)
 
 
Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead a group of scientists dealing with human health, i.e. toxicology (biocompatibility according EN ISO 10993 series), clinical safety (clinical evaluation and evaluation of clinical trials) as well as regulatory aspects for the certification and clearance of medical devices
  • Build-up, maintain and share scientific knowledge related to human health within the group
  • Development of the group in close cooperation with the Group Leaders and the Business Unit Leader within HC
  • Close cooperation with HC-MD Regulatory Affairs groups and Human Safety groups in other Business Units
  • Communicate and closely co-operate with our clients
  • Manage resources within the group; also in cooperation with related groups
  • Ensure high level of quality within projects (i.e. reports, expert statements, correspondence, quotations)
  • Technical contribution to client projects (onsite, if required)
  • Promote economic thinking and responsible acting within the group
  • Participate in and contribute to the management team
 
Profile and Qualifications
  • University degree preferably in toxicology (pharmacy, medicine or biology only if willingness to acquire
    toxicological degree)
  • Several years’ experience in biological evaluations and toxicological characterization for medical devices
    (preferably high risk devices)
  • Decision-making ability
  • Strong motivation with excellent communication and organizational skills in multinational environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and team playing skills; service oriented personality and attitude
  • Quick learner, able to react to new challenges
  • Very good language skills in English and German (spoken and written); additional language skills would be an asset)
