Eberhard Karls University Tübingen

Department of Preclinical Imaging and Radiopharmacy, Werner Siemens Imaging Center

The mission of the Werner Siemens Imaging Center is to bridge the gap between in vitro biomedical research and in vivo imaging. This endevour is approached by both, developing novel imaging technology to answer emerging questions in biomedicine and using novel animal models and imaging probes to gain information about physiology and pathology in vivo.
The WSIC provides a powerful research oriented group focusing on new tracers and biomarkers, in vivo biomedical research utilizing novel imaging technology and developing the next generation PET and mulimodality imaging equipment.
A close link to the clinic ensures a fast transition of the basic research to the patient's bed.
