Hannover Medical School, MHH
MHH’s Department of Molecular and Translational Therapeutic Strategies was founded 2009 and is embedded in a network of related Departments and Research Groups on our campus, as well as with other national and international collaborators.
The unifying topic of our research efforts is the development of innovative molecular and cell-based therapies for cardiovascular disease and transplantation medicine. Specific goals include:
- The analysis of microRNA-based mechanisms in various cardiovascular disease processes
- Development of siRNA-and microRNA-based therapeutic translational approaches in cardiovascular disease and transplantation medicine
- Modification of stem- and progenitor cells for subsequent cell transplantation to improve organ function
We equally invest in the establishment of novel techniques and the development of novel therapeutic strategies with a strong translational focus.
