2 PhD-positions
We are seeking a motivated PhD student interested in a competitive, interdisciplinary research project  with a strong focus on ubiquitin regulated cellular processes.
We are currently trying to understand the pathomechanism of a novel disease-associated gene involved in a ubiquitin regulated process (Arelin et al., 2013). The joint project between the Department of Human Genetics (first position) and the Department of Physiological Chemistry (second position) combines a promising mix of competences that include Human Genetics, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.
Halle (Saale) with its historic Martin-Luther university is an attractive place for students due to its new infrastructure and low costs of living. It is cultural versatile (e.g. Händel Festival, see also and in close proximity to Berlin (1:15 hours by train), Leipzig (30 min. by train) and Dresden.
