University of British Columbia

UBC Centre for High-Throughput Biology

Only 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver, the University of British Columbia holds an international reputation for excellence in advanced research and learning.
The university's many present and past eminent researchers include Robert Mundell, UBC alumni, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 1999, and the late Michael Smith, who won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1993.
UBC researchers attract hundreds of millions of dollars in research funding annually from government, industry and non-profit foundations.
The UBC Centre for High-Throughput Biology (CHiBi) is a developing, multidisciplinary group of investigators who develop and apply high-throughput methods in a variety of biological systems. We are located in the Network for Centres of Excellence (NCE) and Michael Smith Laboratories buildings.
