Our lab is interested in the involvement of oxidative stress in eukaryotic aging processes. As a model organism we use the nematode C.elegans. We are using redox proteomic and fluorescent methods to monitor oxidative stress in vivo.
The methodologies involve life span assays, mass spectrometry analysis and confocal microscopy.
We are looking for students who want to do an internship in our lab for 3 months or longer. Students should have experience in lab work, be willing to learn new methods, and be enthusiastic about research. You can check out our lab under http://www.mcdb.lsa.umich.edu/labs/jakob/
We would provide you with a research scholar visa for the US.
Please send your application to Prof. Ursula Jakob at firstname.lastname@example.org and include a complete CV and if possible a reference.
