Position Description

  • Position is within our PreAnalytiX Joint Venture R&D team (QIAGEN/Becton Dickinson Company)
  • Development of innovative molecular diagnostics products and technologies for preanalytical workflows
  • Launching new products to market in compliance with industry/regulatory standards
  • Collaboration within interdisciplinary project teams and across company functions
  • Life cycle management and technical support for the existing product lines
  • Supervision of staff activities

Position Requirements

  • Scientific degree (PhD) in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
  • Detailed knowledge of modern molecular biology techniques, in particular sample collection, nucleic acid purification and analytical test technologies
  • Basic knowledge in nucleic acid stabilization, NGS and digital PCR is advantageous
  • Experience in in vitro diagnostics development is an asset

Personal Requirements

  • German and English fluent in spoken and written
  • Excellent organizational, reporting and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to travel (~10%)
  • Independent, self-responsible and team-oriented
