The "Munich Cluster for Systems Neurology" wants to promote integrative research into a broad range of neurological diseases, with the aim to improve pathomechanistic understanding and eventually therapeutic options (http://www.synergy-munich.de). The central focus is to foster intense collaboration amongst principal and associate investigators, SyNergy professorships and clinician scientists across the traditional boundaries of neurodegenerative, inflammatory and vascular diseases.
The Excellence Cluster „SyNergy“ and the Technical University Munich are looking for a
Technical Assistant Electron Microscopy
The SyNergy Nanoscale hub applies TEM and SEM imaging, including correlative and volume (FIB-SEM, ATUM) techniques, to provide ultrastructural analysis for scientific questions in the field of neurodegeneration. We are collaborating with SyNergy research groups and are situated at DZNE Munich, Großhadern.
Besides performing all steps from sample processing to imaging, the Technical Assistant EM will be involved in lab organization, microscope/instrument maintenance and user training. Participation in scientific projects will depend on the expertise. We are seeking for a highly motivated candidate with good communication skills. Proficiency in EM techniques or previous education in neurosciences are desirable but not required.
We are offering a position with a multi-faced range of tasks in a young team and excellent working conditions. Remuneration will depend on the experience of the person according to TV-L. The position is initially limited.
Employment, payment and social benefits are consistent with those at other research institutes. The TUM is an equal opportunity employer. The TUM is committed to employing disabled individuals and especially encourages them to apply.
We are looking forward to receiving your comprehensive online application, including your CV, motivation letter and references (referencing the keyword “EM-TA” email@example.com). Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
