                                        Doctoral Positions (Doktorandenstellen)
The Research Training Group focuses on the investigation of bacterial acclimation mechanisms that enable bacterial survival under challenging environmental cues.  This question is of fundamental importance for the spread of bacterial populations in natural environments as well as for infection dissemination.  Of particular interest are adaptation processes at the level of primary and secondary metabolism.

Starting on October 1st. 2016, four positions are offered for 3 years (salary up to 65% TV-L13). We are looking for excellent candidates with a strong background in molecular biology, microbiology, chemical biology or biochemistry and a successful top-level Master graduation. High motivation, creativity and enthusiasm in experimental work is expected, as well as a spirit of self-responsibility.
The Research Training Group offers an outstanding international research environment involving leading scientists from different life-science institutes with state of the art facilities for excellent research. In addition, an accompanying qualification program provides opportunities for the development of surplus skills, including personal and scientific training.
