Position Description

  • Lead Strategic Marketing initiatives for PCR/dPCR to drive short and long-term revenue growth and profitability.
  • Lead all aspects of development of marketing and commercialization strategies and guide execution through collaboration with the internal marketing agency and the regions.
  • Initiate and cultivate business development partnerships to establish long-term growth opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the market as a resource for input on product development and market trends.
  • Develop, plan, drive, and communicate the PCR marketing strategies (short, long-term and go-to-market strategies) and establish clearly defined goals, objectives, commercialization tactics, critical success factors, timelines, budgets and action items to drive revenue growth in the target market segments.
  • Drive execution of strategy in cooperation with Global Product Management, the marketing agency and regions. Define commercial marketing plans including: website refinement, e-marketing campaigns, printed brochures, sales tools, press releases, customer appreciation programs and public relations to meet business objectives, deadlines and budget.
  • Confirm/Initiate market research, situation analysis, product/technology positioning and elements of marketing mix (product, price, promotion, distribution) to create competitive advantages.
  • Optimize use of sales channels including direct, distribution, electronic or non-sales force dependent alternatives to drive market share gains.
  • Identify market opportunities through developing and understanding market and competitor trends, customer needs and wants and technology trends. Direct and manage inputs into the strategic roadmap including situation analysis, SWOT, product/technology positioning, market size, customer segmentation, and pricing as appropriate.
  • Network with Commercial Operations, Commercial Partners and customers to understand needs/motivators to use for developing the most effective strategies. Collaborate with sales management to plan and coordinate product/technology commercialization efforts aligned with marketing strategies.
  • Identify, assess and implement strategic collaborations and/or joint business activities to achieve revenue targets. Create long-term growth opportunities and execute business or marketing strategies.
  • Provide direction based on market-driven data to R&D, Sales, Manufacturing, Technical Training and Support to prioritize internal resources to capture short and long-term market opportunities.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors in Life Science field, Masters/PhD and MBA preferred.
  • 3 or more years’ experience in global product and/or marketing management.Experience with a portfolio of Life Science products.
  • Experience managing a complex product portfolio.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English and German, additional languages are a plus.
