PhD Student (ole of extracellular matrix proteins in zebrafish fin regeneration)

 Technische Universität Dresden  Dresden
The Biotechnology Centre (BIOTEC) and the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden - Cluster of Excellence (CRTD) are central research institutions of TU Dresden. Biologists, Chemists, Physisists and Bioinformaticians work together to solve questions in cutting-edge research. In a collaborative research project of the Chair of Molecular Developmental Genetics (Herr Prof. Dr. Michael Brand, research area brain development and regeneration) and the group of Dr. Franziska Knopf (research area bone regeneration) we study the mechanisms of tissue regeneration (brain and bone) in the model organisms zebrafish and mouse. In this context we are looking for a highly motivated and talented
PhD Student
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
to work in the topic “role of extracellular matrix proteins in zebrafish fin regeneration”. The position starts at the earliest possible date and is initially limited until 30.06.2017 with the possibility of extension. The period of employment is governed by § 2 Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position entails 65% of the fulltime weekly hours.
