ABF is a certified bioanalytical contract research laboratory with almost three decades of experience in method development, validation and application in the field of biomarkers and biomonitoring. The lab has particular experience in the analysis of compounds within clinical and toxicological studies using GC-MS und LC-MS/MS.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to perform development/improvement of either new analytical methods or existing methods by means of state-of-the-art mass spectrometry techniques (GC-MS, LC-MS/MS). The work is focused on methods for biomarkers of exposure to toxic chemicals in different biological matrices like urine or plasma.

Requirements
  • Applicants should possess a PhD-degree in analytical chemistry or related relevant fields with a strong background in mass spectrometric techniques (preferably GC-MS and LC-MS/MS).
  • Experience in extraction methods for biological sample material (plasma, urine, saliva etc.)
  • Experience in analytical method development and validation within a regulated environment (GLP, ISO 17025)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated team player who also can work independently
  • Knowledge in biostatistics is a plus
  • Creative thinking, self-motivated and organized

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • Ability to develop and validate new analytical methods (including sample clean up, chromatography and data analysis) by means of LC-MS/MS and/or GC-MS
  • Ability to optimize existing analytical methods with the focus on sensitivity and sample throughput
  • Responsibilities in our internal QM-system (ISO 17025, GLP)
  • Supporting our routine analysis platforms
  • The publication of results belongs to your tasks and will be supported

The position is initially limited to two years with possibilities of extension. The salary is according to TV-L.
