Within the Materials Science Laboratory we are offering a position for a

Scientist/Engineer with PhD in Chemistry / Physics (m/f/d)

You will be part of an interdisciplinary and international team experienced in developing organic and hybrid materials with tuned properties for specific applications. Collaboration across company functions is a part of our daily work.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Concept creation for customizable materials and surfaces to enhance UX
  • Identify approaches bridging the gap between idea and realization
  • Experimental proof of concept and development of lab prototype
  • Establishment of novel methods and related test setups

Your profile:

  • PhD in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science
  • You have detailed knowledge in applied materials science, namely the identification and selection of material with desired properties and their transfer into new contexts
  • You’re experienced in tuning of materials’ properties for new functions specific applications
  • You’re familiar with the coating and structuring of surfaces including polymer and composites
  • Good command of English, ability to work within an international and interdisciplinary team
  • Strong creative mindset and analytical skills
