Currently we are looking for a
Professional Education Country Lead - Germany
to join our team in Hamburg
Your role
In this newly created role, you will be responsible building a team and leading the development and delivery of the Smith & Nephew Professional Education plan for Germany which supports both local company strategy and integrates in to the overall European training plan.
In line with Global/European Standard Operating and Compliance Procedures, you will be required to identify HCP training needs in each of our strategic business units and manage the team in providing  education solutions to address these needs.  You will also be ‘the face of education’ for Smith & Nephew Germany from an external perspective, inputting into and aligning with the European Regional Education strategy as it relates to local education needs.
Specific areas of responsibilities include:
  • Identification of educational needs
  • Design of programme content that is evidence based , liaising with the central content development team as required(instructional design)
  • Determine the most effective channel to deliver content to broad audiences and ensure regional alignment
  • Selection of HCP consultants for medical education activities
  • Management of HCP engagement including individual consulting and institutional agreements.
  • Setting of selection criteria and approval of attendees
  • Evaluate training and clinical communication effectiveness
  • Align and approve educational grants, donations and corporate sponsorships
  • Provide local content for Education & Evidence: Smith & Nephew’s portal for eLearning
  • Ensure that all Professional Education activity adheres to the Smith & Nephew code of ethics and any legal and compliance responsibilities.
Your skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline
  • Experience in a healthcare educational or compliance function or clinical/scientific affairs background
  • Medical background highly desirable
  • Commercial experience in orthopaedics and/or wound management desirable
  • Good understanding of healthcare system and key stakeholders in Germany
  • High level experience in project and people management
  • Proven experience in working cross functionally and within a matrix organisation
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • High level written and verbal communication skills both in German and in English
