TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER
We are currently looking for a Technical Project Manager, which help the TPM department to achieve these goals.
The main goal of Technical Project Management (TPM) at Alvotech is to coordinate internal and external resources, especially subcontractors and partners for process development and analytical services. TPM is responsible for the definition and tracking of project milestones, delivering progress reports, the budgeting and controlling of projects, and informing key stakeholders of the status, issues and proposed solutions.
Most important task of the job:
Overall coordination of all process development activities
Lead the cross-functional project team and/or sub-teams and lead their efforts; responsible to manage cross-collaboration of the core team
Definition and responsibility for project milestones
Coordination of contract laboratories & manufacturing organizations
Identify changes in scope and manage change control process as necessary
Achieve project quality by identifying quality risks and issues
Manage risks and contingencies proactively, lead problem solving and resolution efforts and planning appropriate corrective and preventive action plans
Budget monitoring and planning
Prerequisite: The Technical Project Manager will be based either in Basel or in Jülich, but may be required to travel on a regular basis to Reykjavik (Alvotech headquarters) and to partners such as CMOs/CROs.
Organization Structure: Technical Project Manager - reports to the Director Technical Project Management.
Education: University Degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry or equivalent, PhD preferred.
Experience: Industrial experience of more than 5 years with strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical process development (CMC) and project management is mandatory. Experience with biosimilars and GMP knowledge are not a prerequisite but desirable. An overall understanding of the regulatory landscape for the development of biosimilar products is an advantage. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills combined with strong prioritization skills. We are looking for open minded personalities with strong project management abilities, which are interested in biosimilar development and want to be part of a highly diversified and challenging environment at Alvotech.
Knowledge and skills
Strong technical and scientific expertise for the process development of biopharmaceuticals using mammalian cell culture technologies and/or protein analytics are mandatory; GMP knowledge is desirable
Overall understanding of product development of biosimilar products CMC, preclinical and clinical development
Understanding of the regulatory environment
Strong expertise in project management
Knowledge of core cross-functional concepts and major technical and regulatory requirements at different development stages
Structured work style, combined with excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in German and English
Strong analytical skills and pro-active problem-solving attitude
Very good knowledge of MS office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word), knowledge of MS project knowledge is advantageous
