General Adhesive Tissue Tape

GATT Technologies BV, founded in February 2011 develops GATT™, a polymer-based General Adhesive Tissue Tape, which can be used as superior surgical sealant for various surgical applications. The GATT product is based on a unique and innovative polymer technology that is developed in conjunction with the Department of Organic Chemistry of the Radboud University Nijmegen. The group is located in the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences (Faculty of Science of the Radboud University), for its molecular biology, cell culturing and (confocal) microscopy experiments. In the Institute for Molecules and Materials (IMM) chemists and physicists work together to carry out fundamental and application-oriented research in the field of molecular functional structures and functional materials of nanometer dimensions.

The RUN bio-organic chemistry group (Van Hest) is part of the Chemical Biology cluster and aims to create bio-inspired materials and processes in order to combine the functionality of biological systems with the flexibility and robustness of synthetic structures. The lab is fully equipped with peptide and polymer synthetic instruments and characterization equipment like NMR, CD, UV-Vis and IR spectroscopy, size exclusion chromatography, electron microscopy (TEM and (cryo)-SEM), DLS, ITC and X-Ray powder diffraction is present.
