PhD position in Membrane Biology and Biochemistry in Düsseldorf
Activities and responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student studying the link between mitochondrial cristae membrane dynamics and regulation of metabolic fluxes in mammalian cells. We aim to decipher the role of the MICOS complex in this context further.
Qualification profile
The successful candidate must bring:
- a master degree (or equivalent) in biochemistry, biophysics, biology, chemistry, or other closely related fields of natural sciences.
- experience in laboratory work using a broad spectrum of methods in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology.
- very good proficiency in writing and speaking English.
- strong interest to work in an international team
- a deep scientific interest in a challenging unresolved question
- general passion and high motivation to work in science
