The
Kolanus lab at the
Life & Medical Sciences Institute (Molecular Immune- and Cell Biology), University of Bonn, has an opening for 1 Postdoc position (TVL13) temporary for two years.
Our lab is integrated into several DFG research initiatives in Bonn and Prof. Kolanus is member of the Cluster of Excellence „ImmunoSensation2”. The LIMES institute represents a high-profiled research institute, harboring a large SPF animal facility, and further offers a wide spectrum of state-of-the art experimental systems to be applied for modern biomedical research.

Postdoc position - Molekulargenetik
Activities and responsibilities
The candidate will work on fundamental pathways of mRNA expression control, in the context of cell differentiation in early embryonic developmental via stem/cell progenitor proteins such as Trim71 (example references of our recent work are given below). Complementary knowledge on the biochemistry of RNA-binding protein interactions with their target RNAs would be highly desirable.
Qualification profile
Applicants should have an outstanding degree and - desirably - a track record in mouse developmental biology, such as early developmental neurobiology or mesoderm development. Consequently, very solid expertise with in vivo mouse models would be a strong asset.
Two letters of reference are required.
We offer
- A varied and challenging job with one of the largest employers in the region
- Occupational pension scheme (VBL)
- Numerous offers of the university sports
