Group Leader (f/m/d) – Science & Technology
Purpose of your Job
Your mission is to ensure the smooth execution of strategically aligned research projects, drive scientific and technical excellence across the group, and support the continuous development of the Group Science & Technology. You will act as a key interface between the group, internal stakeholders, and external partners, fostering effective cross-functional collaboration and representing the Group Science & Technology.
Your Responsibility
Leadership & People Development- Lead, motivate, and develop the Group Science & Technology, fostering a strong team spirit and high scientific standards.
- Recruit, onboard, and integrate new team members.
- Drive continuous learning through coaching, performance reviews, and individual development plans.
- Define and steer the scientific and technical focus of projects within Group Science & Technology in alignment with Coriolis’ strategy and in close coordination with the CTO/CSO.
- Provide hands-on scientific guidance to team members across all project phases-tailored to their experience level-including project planning and coordination, experimental work, data evaluation and interpretation, reporting, presentations to internal and external collaboration partners, and compliant documentation in accordance with Coriolis’ Good Research Practice (GRP).
- Ensure access to the required expertise by connecting team members with internal subject matter experts to support project success.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to achieve project goals and deliverables.
- Integrate and guide temporary team members from other units (e.g. Operations) for internal research projects.
- Drive the transfer of methods and results from research projects into Operations for application in client projects.
- Ensure clear and effective communication with internal and external collaboration partners in line with Coriolis’ culture and standards.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and group activities to senior stakeholders.

Contribute to Coriolis’ scientific output through publications, posters, and presentations.
What you need to succeed
- PhD degree in pharmacy, (bio)chemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, biophysics, or a related scientific discipline
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in a relevant field, including proven people management responsibility
- Strong background and expertise in biopharmaceutical drug product development, analytical methods, and related technologies
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop scientific teams
- Strong organizational and management capabilities, including the ability to structure complex activities and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to convey scientific concepts clearly and effectively
- High level of scientific competence combined with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable, open-minded, and collaborative personality with a proactive approach
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken, including scientific writing and presentations
