Strengthen our Quality Operations Team in full-time (40 hrs./week) as Lead Quality Operations Analyst (m/f/d).
This position is available as a full-time role at our IU office locations or remotely (must reside in Germany or the UK).
In this role, you’ll build and lead a new Quality Operations function from the ground up-owning defect reduction, operational resilience, and systemic quality improvements across our student-facing platforms. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership, engineering, and operations to challenge existing processes and redesign how quality is embedded at scale.
Lead Quality Operational Analyst (m/f/d)
Your tasks

Build and lead a new Quality Operations team, defining standards, methodologies, and ways of working

Drive systematic defect reduction through deep audits of operational and technical processes

Lead complex investigations into system defects, operational incidents, and process failures across platforms and integrations (including CARE/Simovative)

Analyse complex data patterns and system behaviours to identify root causes and preventative actions

Design and implement simplified, student-focused processes that reduce friction and operational risk

Establish and own quality metrics, KPIs, monitoring, and alerting for critical operational flows

Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations to embed quality upstream in system and process design

Challenge assumptions and legacy processes constructively, advocating for better outcomes at all levels of the organisation

Present findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Your Profile

Proven experience leading quality, operations, or process-improvement initiatives in complex, cross-functional environments

Strong ownership mindset, comfortable operating autonomously on ambiguous, high-impact problems

Deep understanding of the German education sector, including academic systems, regulations, and operational requirements

Hands-on experience with the CARE (Simovative) platform, including configuration, data management, and integration challenges

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including working with complex datasets and identifying systemic issues

Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, and risk mitigation methodologies

Solid understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows, with the ability to dive into technical detail when needed

Comfortable challenging existing approaches and influencing senior stakeholders with evidence-based recommendations

Clear communicator, able to translate complex technical and operational topics for diverse audiences
