With two development and GMP compliant manufacturing sites for biopharmaceutical products located in Henningsdorf and Braunschweig, we are seeking a candidate to join our Protein Analytics team in the Quality Control department at our Braunschweig location as soon as possible.Head Quality Control (m/w/d)
Job Description
- Management of the QC department, including responsibility for the budget and personnel
- Responsibility for method development, as well as the qualification and validation of methods, particularly protein analytical methods
- Ensuring timely QC testing of relevant materials (e.g., raw materials, intermediates, biological drugs, and products)
- Ensuring that adequate and trained personnel are available to perform QC functions
- Ensuring and organizing the qualification of QC laboratory equipment
- Drafting, reviewing, and approving QC protocols and reports
- Leading customer interactions for all QC-related projects, including method development, method transfer, and validation
- Providing technical support during customer audits and inspections
- Collaborating with Manufacturing, QA, QP, and other QC departments to ensure smooth operations
Profile
- Master Degree in a science-related field
- 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of quality control and GMP within the biotech sector
- 5 years of experience in a managerial role
- Sense of responsibility for people, processes, internal and external customers, and timelines
- Fluency in German and English
- Interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
- Knowledge of guideline-compliant development and characterization of biosimilars
