The IMPRS-LM unites scientists from diverse disciplines to tackle a fundamental question in biology: How do chemical components self-organize to give rise to living cells? By integrating traditional approaches-from structural and synthetic biology to cutting-edge computational modelling-our interdisciplinary team of molecular biologists, chemists and physicists explores the spatial and temporal dynamics of biochemical networks within the cellular environment.
