Research Associate (m/w/d)
The position is full-time and initially limited to 2 years, with the option of extension. It is a qualification position in accordance with the German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (WissZeitVG, §2 para. 1).
Responsibilities
- Core task: Provide statistical, data management, and epidemiological expertise across various institute projects.

- Preparation of complex datasets
- Planning and implementation of quality control for large datasets
- Planning and coordination of data collection in epidemiological studies
- Statistical analysis of epidemiological studies
- Statistical consulting for institute working groups and, if applicable, implementation of analyses
- Additional tasks:
- Preparation of manuscripts and presentations at conferences
- Development and implementation of IT concepts for scientific data
- Participation in teaching activities of the institute (medical and public health programs)
Requirements
- Enthusiasm for scientific work and interest in environmental or occupational epidemiology
- Reliable, independent, and careful working style
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
- Experience in data management of epidemiological studies and implementing advanced statistical analyses
- Academic degree (e.g., biostatistics or epidemiology)
- Desirable:
- Good IT skills
- PhD
- Experience in environmental or occupational epidemiological research

Remuneration is based on the provisions of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L) EG 13, with recognition of previous professional experience.
