Postdoc - Biostatistics (m/f/d)

We are searching for a candidate with (1) a doctoral degree in epidemiology, (bio)statistics or a comparable discipline, (2) the ability to work in an interdisciplinary manner with physicians and life scientists, and (3) knowledge of epidemiological methodology and statistical analysis systems (e.g. SAS or R). In addition, excellent writing and communication skills in English are required. Experience in the analysis of proteomics data would be desirable.

The project will be a collaboration between the research group Inflammation (Prof. Dr. Christian Herder) and the Clinical Study Center (Prof. Dr. Robert Wagner, PD Dr. Oana-Patricia Zaharia) at DDZ. Tasks include planning epidemiological analyses within different cohort studies, performing statistical analyses in projects related to the link between inflammation, diabetes and cardiovascular complications, and communicating results in conferences and publications. The coordination of projects with internal and external partners is important as the position will be linked to projects with the Department of Cardiology, Pulmonology and Vascular Medicine at the Medical Faculty, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
