Strengthen our SalesTech Team in full-time (40 hrs./week) as
(Junior) Software Engineer - Twilio & Node.js (m/f/d)
This position is available as a full-time role at our IU office locations or remotely (must reside in Germany or the UK).
Your tasks
-
Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our main communication platform, which enables Study Advisors to have direct conversations with prospective students. You will regularly collaborate with internal users and stakeholders to ensure the system meets their needs and remains reliable and efficient.

Work closely with experienced engineers to integrate data from our SalesForce CRM with Twilio Flex functionalities, helping Study Advisors get the right information at the right time.

Participate in enhancing existing features and implementing new ones based on feedback from internal users and stakeholders.

Learn how to develop reliable backend services using Node.js and NestJS, and contribute to frontend components built with React and TypeScript.

Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting system performance using tools such as DataDog.

Collaborate with the team in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes using GitLab CI/CD.
Your Profile

Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, with some experience or strong interest in backend development using Node.js (NestJS experience is a plus), and a basic understanding of databases (preferably MongoDB) and modern development workflows.

Interest in working with communication platforms such as Twilio Flex, as well as curiosity about cloud technologies, especially AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Eagerness to learn about system integrations and event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka) and to work on systems that are essential for the daily work of internal teams.

Enjoys solving problems, learning from others, and continuously improving code quality and performance, with strong motivation to grow as a engineer.

Comfortable communicating in English and working in an international environment; fluent German language skills are essential due to regular interaction with German-speaking users.
