Installation Engineer (m/f/d)
What You'll Do
- Partner with Senior Customer Engineers to install, commission, maintain, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment at customer sites.
- Support equipment startup and acceptance activities to ensure successful deployment and operational readiness.
- Utilize digital diagnostic tools, equipment analytics, and troubleshooting methodologies to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas delivery systems.
- Diagnose equipment performance issues and implement solutions with support from senior team members and technical experts.
- Build strong relationships with customers through professional communication and technical expertise .
- Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures while working in customer manufacturing environments.
- Document maintenance activities, service reports, and technical findings accurately and professionally.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other business needs as required .

Qualification profile
Prior semiconductor experience is beneficial but not required for candidates with strong technical aptitude and relevant industry experience.

- Associate degree / bachelor's degree / master's degree in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering / Mechatronics, Military technical training, Trade certification, or equivalent technical experience
- 1 -4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, manufacturing support, installation engineering, or a related technical role
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude involving pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, or thermodynamics
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment, including digital multimeters
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver's license
- Valid authorization to live and work in Germany (EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa/residence permit) and the ability to travel within Europe for customer site visits. While we support visa arrangements for the Taiwan training assignment, you must have the legal right to return and work in Germany after completing the 12-month training program
