PhD Student Position in Molecular Infection Biology
Activities and responsibilities
- CRISPR/Cas9 based generation and phenotypic analysis of transgenic Cryptosporidium parasites
- Single cell RNA-sequencing and spatial transcriptomics
- Super resolution and expansion microscopy
- Participation in scientific publications, conference presentations and supervision of bachelor and master students

Qualification profile
- A university degree in biology (MSc), biochemistry (MSc), biomedicine (MSc), medicine, veterinary medicine, or equivalent
- Practical experience in cell and molecular biology methods; prior experience in infection biology, microscopy, transcriptomics oder bioinformatics is an advantage
- Willingness to work with animal models and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research
- High degree of motivation, analytical thinking and ability to work both independently and in a team
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
- Practical experience in cell and molecular biology methods; prior experience in infection biology, microscopy, transcriptomics oder bioinformatics is an advantage
- Willingness to work with animal models and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research
