PhD Student (f-m-d) Enhance Activities in Computational Homogeneous Catalysis
Activities and responsibilities
- Multi-scale simulations of reaction pathways in homogeneous catalysis
- Computational design of novel non-precious catalysts
- Assessment and development of newly designed workflows
- Setup of data-driven models to predict properties of catalytic reactions
Qualification profile
- Strong foundation in Computational Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, or Molecular Modeling
- Proficiency in coding and scripting languages such as Python, R, or similar, as well as experience with computational software used in Chemistry
- Analytical skills and experience in scientific data analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience in preparing scientific publications or presentations
- A Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biophysics, or a related field is required; prior research experience is advantageous
- Curiosity-driven mindset with a strong interest in advancing the field of computational chemistry
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and job scheduling
